Akoya
API data access network that lets banks share customer-permissioned financial data with fintechs and aggregators.
Overview
Akoya runs a data access network through which banks, credit unions and other financial institutions share customer-permissioned account data with fintechs and data aggregators over APIs instead of screen scraping. For institutions it provides an open finance offering with consent and permission management, managed onboarding of data recipients, and support for consumer data access regulation.
Data recipients reach participating institutions through a unified integration, with APIs for balances, payments, accounts and investments, transactions and statements. The network uses a passthrough model: Akoya does not store consumer data or credentials, and data moves from the institution to the authorized third party. Institutions can also join as data recipients so their own account holders can link external accounts.
