Footnotes
What the filings say. A free, quarterly briefing on US financial services, written from what institutions report to their regulators.
Banks, credit unions, advisers, funds and broker-dealers file a steady stream of reports with the FDIC, the NCUA, the SEC and other regulators, and the regulators publish approvals, lists and orders of their own. Most of it is never read. Footnotes reads it and tells you what changed and why it matters: a trend building over several quarters, one set of numbers worth understanding, and a short list of developments, each with what happened, what it means and what to do about it.
Every figure comes from a public filing. Footnotes carries no surveys, no sponsored stories and no vendor rankings.
