Credit Benchmark
Consensus credit risk data built from banks' internal ratings, for assessing unrated counterparties, funds and sovereigns.
Overview
Credit Benchmark aggregates and anonymizes the internal credit risk estimates of contributing banks to produce consensus credit ratings and probability of default data on corporates, financials, funds and sovereigns, most of which are not rated by the major agencies. Banks use it to challenge internal ratings and calibrate models, asset managers to screen counterparties and monitor portfolios, and insurers to price and underwrite unrated exposures.
Central counterparties, exchanges and broker-dealers use the data to assess members and counterparties outside traditional ratings coverage. The offering includes a credit risk dataset and benchmarking analytics, delivered through APIs, a web application, a spreadsheet add-in and cloud data platforms.
