Most of what people write to ask about is available, free, and takes about ten minutes. This is in three parts, so you can read the one that applies to you and skip the rest.

Getting listed and getting seen
Two different things live here, and it helps to keep them apart. The first is your record — the profile a buyer sees when they look up your category. That's free, and it's yours to correct.
The second is reach — showing up on the buyer guides where people are actively building a shortlist. That one we sell, openly, at a published price.
✓ Available
$299 a year, with your claimed listing included: claim your listing. Nothing is charged until we approve it. ✓ Available
Free. Send the name and the website from a work address; our editors research it and write the entry. Suggest a company. ✓ Available
We built most of the directory from public sources. It stays there, free, whether or not you do anything. Claiming makes it yours to edit and puts you on a guide.
✓ Available
Free, always, whether or not you pay us. Tell us what's wrong and we correct it. Accuracy is what we owe the reader, not something we sell back to you.
✓ Available
Free and unconditional. Email us from your company's domain and it comes down — no upsell, no questions.
✓ Available
Part of the $199 claim. Edit every field, add your logo and your own data sheet, and inquiries come straight to you.
✓ Available
$100 for each further guide once your listing is paid for. 4 companies per guide at most.
◆ Selectively
One sponsor per guide, $499 a year with your listing included. Pick it on the claim page — if somebody already holds it, the page says so rather than taking your money. ✓ Available
On approval, never at checkout. If we cannot approve your listing you are not charged, there is no refund to wait for, and nothing appears on your statement.

We don't run display advertising. A Spotlight is the format we do run.
◆ Not for sale
Editors choose who's relevant. Keep your profile accurate — that's what they read.
◆ Not for sale
Ranking ignores what you've paid.
Writing for us
We publish a small number of contributed pieces, and the ones that work are always the same shape: someone senior writing about something they were personally on the hook for.
The bar is high and the process is short. Send us a few paragraphs, not a finished draft.
◆ Selectively
Sometimes — for senior practitioners writing about work they were accountable for. Send a short pitch, not a draft.
◆ Selectively
Welcome when it's relevant to something we're working on. Lead with the substance.
◆ Not for sale
A byline belongs to the person whose experience is in the piece. If you want visibility for the brand, buy a Spotlight.
◆ Not for sale
No, at any price. Our editorial is not for sale — what we commission, what a guide concludes, and which vendors it names are ours.
✓ Available
That is the Executive Forum — a paid membership for senior practitioners, published in its own section, labeled as paid on every page, and kept out of Insights and the buyer guides entirely. ◆ Not for sale
We don't run a newswire. If the news changes a fact about you, send it as a correction.
How we stay independent
We sell placements and we publish independent research, to the same audience. That only works if the line between them is drawn in public and holds on a quiet month as well as a good one.
Here's where we've drawn it, why, and what it means for the requests we get most often.
✓ Available
Free, from anyone. Send the URL and the sentence. Tell us. ✓ Available
Already there, free. Your profile carries your website, marked nofollow — so it passes no ranking signal.
◆ Not for sale
Editorial links are chosen by whoever wrote the piece. There's no price list to ask for.
◆ Not for sale
No. We don't reply to exchange requests individually, so don't hold a campaign waiting on one.
✓ Available
Tell us about the broken link and we'll fix it. We'll pick the replacement.
◆ Not for sale
No. A labeled placement beside the analysis is the version we do sell.
◆ Not for sale
We'll correct anything wrong. We won't remove something accurate because it's unwelcome.

A note on how this is written
We have tried to say what is possible first and what is not second, with the reasoning attached. Where the answer is “not for sale”, that is a position rather than an opening offer — usually because selling that particular thing would quietly ruin the reason people trust the site, which is the same reason a placement on it is worth buying.
What we sell will change as we add formats. This is where new ones will appear first. What does not change is the line: advertising is labeled and sits beside the analysis, and the analysis itself is not for sale. If you would rather have all of this as a document, take the PDF.
