Finantrix Atlas peer benchmarks / Bank Peer Benchmark

Bank Peer Benchmark

Compare any FDIC-insured bank with the banks closest to it in size: deposits, return on assets, margin, efficiency and capital, from Call Report data.

Choose a bank to compare it with the 100 banks nearest to it in total assets, nationwide or in its own state. You can also enter its FDIC certificate number.

How the comparison works

The data covers 4,210 banks as of June 30, 2026, from FDIC BankFind Suite (Call Report data). A peer group is the 100 banks closest in total assets, measured on a ratio scale, so an institution is compared with others of its own size rather than with an arbitrary band. Choosing state peers limits the group to the same state, to banks no more than 4 times larger or smaller, where there are at least 10 of them.

A percentile says what share of the peer group reports a lower figure. Where a measure has a better direction, it is stated beside it; size and mix measures have none. Figures are as reported to the regulator and are not adjusted.

The full ranking is in Largest banks in the US, part of the Finantrix Atlas. Other benchmarks: Credit Union Peer Benchmark, RIA Peer Benchmark, Private Fund Adviser Peer Benchmark, 13F Manager Peer Benchmark, Public Insurer Peer Benchmark and Public REIT Peer Benchmark.
